This family weekend retreat is situated along the Lake Austin waterfront and utilizes locally sourced rammed earth walls, reclaimed barnwood materials, and rainscreen wall systems. The expansive steel and glass windows allow scenic views of Lake Austin and its beautiful Cypress trees along the shore.

A two-story addition and remodel for an expanding family called for a sophisticated update. The kitchen, living, and dining were expanded to create a more open first floor space. An office was added with a rooftop master bedroom deck above. The upstairs layout was redesigned to accommodate larger bedrooms and bathrooms. The interior was brightened with more windows and natural wood millwork and finishes.

This eight custom unit garden home project will coincide with a hillside 32 unit condo complex to surround Austin’s historic Texas Military Institute castle. Garden rooftops, terraces, and strategically placed expansive glass windows create breath-taking panoramic skyline views of downtown Austin from all units. Consideration of site sensitivity allow for open green spaces to include personal and communal garden sanctuaries.

A private residential retreat nestled on the steep hillside of Lake Travis. Expansive views of the lake dominate every room. Creative interior millwork forms create an intricate series of seating, bookshelves, fixtures and floating fireplace.

A poolside cabana design is meant to coincide with a custom residential renovation project of Town Lake lakefront estate. Complete with a lounge and dining space, flatscreen TV, fireplace, kitchenette, and BBQ grill, this cabana is meant to be a fulltime summer retreat.

We explored the idea of creating playful forms for the building envelope in this design-build custom home project. The home needed to accommodate two lifestyles; one for social entertainment and one for an expanding family. The front of the house was designed to be more open and public. The rear of the house transitioned into a more private and family-oriented spaces.

Careful attention to preservation of existing building was considered while new features are added to modernize its appeal. A third floor will be added featuring an outdoor roof deck and glass bar enclosure overlooking trendy West 6th Street.

Hillside Pharmacy is a renovation and expansion of former East Side Austin restaurant into a vintage pharmacy style restaurant and bar. The design of the outdoor addition evokes natural and holistic elements with rammed earth and concrete walls, garden and fountain features, and communal fire pit. The interiors recall of a mid-century neighborhood pharmacy were one can enjoy a home cooked meal and root beer float while waiting on a prescription.

Waterloo embraces the Hill Country atmosphere with its newest Bee Caves location using locally reclaimed barn wood and canoe/paddle installations, live music stage, washer pits, open patios, outdoor lounging and dining, and child playscape. Garage doors circumvent the perimeter to open up the interior dining, patio, and outdoor deck spaces.

Flexible marketing installation was developed to demonstrate portfolio of architecture firm. Portable frames allow for easy transportation, resizing, and quick installation for marketing events. Project panels can be effortlessly updated on the fly.
